Terms of Use

Welcome to Family Law Assist Information Services Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and us. By accessing or using our website, voice-based AI assistant, or related services (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
- Nature of the Service
- The Service provides general family law information sourced from Australian government websites under Creative Commons licensing.
- The Service does not provide legal advice and does not create a solicitor–client relationship.
- You must seek advice from a qualified lawyer for matters specific to your 1.
- Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- Under Australian contract law, minors cannot generally enter into binding contracts for non-essential services.
- By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and legally capable of entering into these Terms.
- Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Misuse or misrepresent the information provided by the Service.
- Payments
- The Service may be billed on a pay-per-minute or subscription basis, as disclosed at the time of use.
- Payments are processed securely through SafePayments.ai (powered by Stripe). By using the Service, you agree to the terms and policies of SafePayments.ai and Stripe.
- All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
- We may change our pricing with notice posted on the website.
- User Input & Content
- We may collect basic contact details (e.g., phone number) to operate the Service.
- We do not claim ownership of your voice inputs.
- We do not use your inputs to train AI models or create derivative works, except as necessary to provide the Service.
- Disclaimers
- The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- We make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of the information provided.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
- Our liability is limited to the total amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days before the claim arose.
- Intellectual Property
- All content, branding, software, and technology associated with the Service are owned by us or licensed to us.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit the Service without our written permission.
- Creative Commons–Licensed Sources We Use
Family Law Assist Information Services Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) surfaces general family-law information sourced from Australian Government websites released under Creative Commons (CC) licences. We comply with the licence terms, including attribution and any restrictions (for example, “NoDerivatives” and exclusions for the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, logos, and third-party content).
i) Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA)
The Court provides its website material (unless otherwise noted and excluding the Coat of Arms) under Creative Commons Attribution–NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (CC BY-ND 3.0). We reproduce such material in unadapted form and credit the Court. Our text-to-speech rendering is a format shift only and not an adaptation under CC terms.

Exclusions and Notes
- The Commonwealth Coat of Arms, agency logos, images, and third-party material are typically excluded from the above CC licences and require separate permission if you wish to reuse them. Always check the copyright statement on the source page.
- For CC BY-ND material (e.g., FCFCOA), we distribute it unmodified and only change the format (e.g., converting text to speech). Creative Commons guidance indicates format-shifting is generally not an adaptation.
- Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of NSW.
- Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Family Law Assist Information Services Pty Ltd regarding the Service.
